Sensei Mike Woodcock
3rd Dan
- Began judo in September 1994 while completing his Honors Degree in Human Movement at Laurentian University
- Mike’s passion for the sport was evident from the start and he learned quickly moving through the ranks of competition to eventually be graded within three years to Shodan – 1st Degree Black Belt in early 1998. Graded to Nidan - 2nd degree Black Belt in 2003. Graded to Sandan - 3rd Degree Black Belt May 2008.
- Operated satellite clubs in New Liskerd, Chelmsford, and the local Sudbury YMCA.
- National Coaching Certification Level I
- Has a strong belief in that Judo and other martial arts can bring out the best in individuals through consistent training, effort and perseverance.
- Mike has also trained in Kendo, Aikido and Goju-ryu Karate in his youth.
- Currently President of Nickel Belt Budokan Judo Club
- Regional Director - Judo Ontario (North Region)

- BPHE, BA
- Manages recreation programs and Physical Education Facilities for Laurentian University
- Endorses Judo as a complete exercise that promotes both physical and mental health
- Believes the practice of Judo can be a recreational or competitive focus
- Inspired by Jo Stewart (5th Degree Black Belt) to take up Judo in 1992
- Received his Shodan in 1997 and Nidan in 2003
- Instructs the judo academic courses for the School of Human Kinetics at Laurentian University
- National Coaching Certification Level 1

Sensei Lee Frappier
1st Dan
- MSW, RSW
- A clinical social worker with a passion for Judo and its impact on wellness and human development.
- Strong belief in the fundamental values of Judo: Mutual Welfare, Non-Harmfulness and Self-Improvement.
- Started Judo as a youth and been a Shodan since 2003.
- Operated satellite club and instructing since 1999.
- Co-instructed ECLIPSE judo prevention program with local school board in 2006.
- National Coaching Certification Level I

Sensei Paul Dolhy
1st Dan
- Paul has been training in Judo since November 1999.
- Paul has been Sensei Ron Larwood's Teaching Assistant for the Laurentian Judo Course for a number of years
- Paul also is an assistant instructor at the Howard Armstrong Recreation Facility
- Paul's pride is his 2 year old niece who is a natural at Judo. In time we should have a brilliant judoka
- Paul is our newest Black Belt - Graded to Shodan - 1st Degree Black Belt May 2008.
